July 2026 Energy Update - Perspective is the medicine

Welcome to the July Energy Update!

As I opened the Akashic Records for the month of July, one word came through immediately...

Coast.

Now, that might be because I'm literally sitting on the coast of Bali near Nusa Dua... but the feeling behind the word was much deeper than a location.

It feels like the energy of coasting along right now. The release of pushing, forcing, and the belief that everything depends on you working just a little harder.

If you've been building something this year and it feels like it's almost there, but not quite fully together yet, July isn't asking you to work harder; it's asking you to coast.

You have already set the sails for 2026. Now it's time to let the wind do some of the work for a while.

So much more becomes visible when you look up and stop staring at every teeny tiny detail.

When you're constantly focused on the next task, your vision narrows. But when you coast, you naturally look up, you notice the view. You see the whole picture.

Just like standing on a coastline, your vision stretches all the way to the horizon. You can see much farther than when you're surrounded by tall buildings or deep inside a forest.

There is a time for focused work, and there is a time for expanded vision.

July feels like an expanded vision moment in time.

This message reminded me of something one of my art teachers used to say.

She would walk around the classroom and tell us, "Stop painting." And I NEVER wanted to because I was completely focused and immersed in my own work.

But then she'd say, "Now go look at everyone else's paintings."

Every. Single. Time... I came back with a different perspective, new ideas, and inspiration.

I saw things I couldn't possibly have seen with my nose pressed against my own canvas.

That feels exactly like July. So the message is, look up, step away from the computer, take a break from the project.

Go watch the sunset. Stand beside the ocean. Visit a lake. Sit by a river. Climb a hill where you can see the horizon.

Perspective itself is the medicine of July.

And speaking of perspective...

It's only four months until our next Sacred Voyages journey to India.

I mean... wowzers. How is it only four months away? Wasn't it just New Year's Day 2026?

One of the greatest gifts India has given me, both times I've gone, is perspective.

It has helped me make some of the biggest life decisions I've ever made.

Travel changes us in ways we don't always expect.

It creates new neural pathways because it interrupts old patterns that our regular lives can't always do.

It expands how we think about ourselves, our fellow humans, and what's actually possible.

Scientists call this neuroplasticity. I call it transformation. Same-same. 

It reminds me of something astronauts describe after seeing Earth from space.

They call it the "Overview Effect."

Suddenly, the things that once felt enormous become very small.

The boundaries disappear, and life on Earth looks different. And you can't unsee it!

And that, my friends, is your July message.

As I sit in Bali taking in this message, I realized something...

One of the greatest gifts spiritual travel has given me isn't just beautiful memories and scenery. It's perspective.

Every time I've traveled somewhere new, especially India, I've come home seeing life differently.

And that's one of the many reasons I created the Sacred Voyages India journeys.

I know firsthand the depth of transformation that traveling through India can bring.

I know so many people dream of experiencing the spiritual side of India...
