September 2026 Energy - What is being hidden?
When I tune into the energy of September, I am getting the vibe of seriously HIDING something.
When I first tuned into September, something really funny happened. While I was busy shuffling one of my decks, the 5 of Wands card (which literally looks like a conflict is going on) fell into the cushion of my chair as if it was hiding and didn't want to be seen.
I thought, "Oh, what card is this?" Then I saw it and immediately thought, hidden battle... Oooooh. This is an INTERNAL battle. Carefully concealed. This is not an external conflict. And this is what I see going on this month...
The energy is showing that sometime recently, maybe within the last few months, you received a brand new idea. When it first streamed in, you might have thought, EUREKA. This is the BEST idea ever. You had been waiting for this idea, and it arrived so innocently and naturally.
But there was something about this idea that also made you feel instantly separate from the group or family, like maybe you wouldn't quite belong there anymore. That can be scary! Or maybe the idea itself makes you wonder if, once it's out, you might not be accepted.
And that's when the internal battle started flaring up. Should you act on this new thought? Is it safe? What will people think?
Then your ego got ahold of this beautiful little idea and started ripping it apart bit by bit until you could hardly recognize it from the way it originally arrived.
So how do you get back to the excitement and purity of the original idea and out of this internal battle happening in September? This is where the month is going...
I'm thinking of a story...Rewind about 14-ish years ago. I was working in corporate, and I was supposed to be mentoring a new marketing team member. But instead, she immediately started schooling ME about myself. And this 23-year-old gave me a piece of advice that changed my life: "Stop taking yourself so seriously," she said to me at work.
Excuse me, what? I was shocked at first. I was in my 30s at this point, had been working in that industry for years, and I was supposed to be training HER. OK, at least I thought I was.
And my first mental reaction was basically... the newbie is a sassy one!! I was kind of pissed off! But I went quiet and thought about it for a few days. And DAMN IT, I realized she had a point. I DID take myself too seriously.
At the time, I had no idea how important that one little comment would eventually become. Because a few years later, I felt compelled to start my Life Purpose coaching business, and to do anything great with it, I had to get over my damn self. I had to stop taking myself so seriously.
I had to stop living out some acceptable image that I had created for others. Because when it was time to really step into my coaching and my message, suddenly I had to put MY ideas and MY creative expression out there. I was no longer echoing some corporate philosophy or my manager's wishes. No... MY. OWN. IDEAS. Now THAT was a leap for me, and it is for most of my clients too.
And here is what I know about deciding to follow a great idea, develop it, and ultimately share it with other people: You will definitely not always look GOOD, especially when you're trying something new. So you will have to get over yourself again and again. To do anything great at all, you have to accept this part.
Ultimately, to get out of this internal battle and get yourself out from under the couch cushion, you have to stop taking yourself so seriously. Meaning, stop caring so damn much about what people think.
Do you know how many people on this planet sit in their heads with GREAT ideas, things they want to study, places they want to live, books they want to write, businesses they want to start, destinations they want to travel to, or dreams they never act on because they are thinking about what one or two people might think?
Sometimes your whole life can be spent making sure just a handful of people think of you in a certain way. It's too damn exhausting to even think about.
The perfect mother or father, the good daughter or son. The reliable employee. The helper. The one who has it all together. (Hello, firstborns and only children out there. ) SO many people stay in that spot for LIFE, trying to make sure a few people maintain a certain image of them.
But those people you're thinking about when you ask, "What will they think?" don't have to live in your body and feel your unfulfilled dreams and desires when they start to stagnate. They aren't the ones waking up in the middle of the night because there are so many things inside of you that want to be expressed, but you won't allow them a place.
I once heard someone say that repressing the natural movement of your own creative expression and desires is at the root of so much depression. And I fully believe there is something powerful in that.
Because no one else has to experience the aftermath of you continually denying what wants to move through you. Not the people you're trying to maintain an old identity for. Nope. They don't have to feel it. Just you.
So here is the main question that comes up for September:
Is maintaining someone else's idea of who you are worth missing out on what this great idea could become?
Because underneath this whole internal battle, I keep hearing: WHAT WILL PEOPLE THINK?? And truly, what they think is none of your business. This idea is between YOU and the Source energy that flows through you.
And the good news? I actually see you moving THROUGH this battle successfully because for the end of September, I pulled THE SUN.
It comes OUT. YOU come out of this battle. You get out from under the proverbial couch cushion and step into the SUN. To me, this is the green light. You're finally ready to move forward with whatever you've been thinking about, and you ARE ready, or the Sun wouldn't be showing up there.
You've been preparing for this through all the experiences that brought you here. And since none of us ever really knows how long we have in this precious experience, there comes a point when it is simply time to follow what you know is next for you.
I've watched several people leave us far too young in the last couple of months, and they still had bucket lists in front of them. That has stayed with me.
So to wrap September up with a bow... your idea is valid. You may have wrestled with it. You may have talked yourself into it and back out of it 100 times. You may have wondered what everyone else would think. But that internal battle isn't meant to last forever.
The energy shifts. The idea comes out of hiding, and you begin turning it into momentum and expressing it in the way that only YOU can. Let's do this!
If an exotic retreat location happens to be one of those ideas that keeps circling for you, my January journey might be for you...
Maybe you've secretly thought about traveling somewhere completely different, seeing another part of the world, or finally taking the big trip you've been putting on your "someday" list... and then immediately came up with all the reasons you shouldn't.
The only way to find out for sure if this is for you is to hop on our next Kerala, India Info Zoom: September 27th, so you can do a vibe check and meet the team.
On the Zoom, we will share all the details about our January Sacred Voyages journey to beautiful Kovalam Beach in Kerala.
We'll be staying right by the beach, with beautiful beach views from the rooms, and the journey includes an Ayurvedic spa experience, beach yoga, holographic sound healing, time to relax and enjoy Kovalam Beach, visits to sacred sites, and plenty of opportunities to experience the culture and beauty of this incredible part of India.
And honestly, I know for me, seeing another part of the world is sometimes exactly what it takes to see my own life differently. Experiencing how other people live, stepping outside of my normal environment, and immersing myself in another culture always gives me great ideas about the next phase of life I want to create.
Maybe that's part of what your new idea is asking you to do too. Get outside of what you already know long enough to discover what else might be possible.
P.S. Here is that link again: KERALA ZOOM.
