Be the change.

Updated: Jan 13, 2020

Someone else’s post today made me think of how much I struggled deciding to leave my stable job for the life of an entrepreneur and doing something outside the box like hand analysis.  It's not exactly mainstream or something you hear a kid say they want to be when they grow up. But, if you ask my kids they might actually say "hand analyst." ;) I was poised with my good intentions to help people find their joy through Life Purpose, but the thing I struggled with the most was I worried I would hurt my family financially by leaving my job. I wrestled with the decision even though I knew it was the right step for me.

I will always remember the moment when I realized, my kids are counting on me to be the example of a person who walks their talk.  They need me to be someone who has the courage to follow my dreams. It was a real lesson, far more impactful than me lecturing them on what I believe is “truth.”  I believe we are always abundantly supported in a million different ways and that I would be supported following my joy.  I believe in the vast impact of one person doing their life purpose. It was knowing that I could be the example of the change that I wanted to see in the world, especially for my kids, that made it all so much more meaningful.
